Shot in the immediate aftermath of lockdown, this video traces a journey from Argentina to Madrid, and then onward to Barcelona, where I travelled with my brother to help him relocate. Filmed entirely on an iPhone, the work emerged as an experiment in lightness and proximity—responding to a moment when movement felt fragile and the world unusually exposed.
Rather than narration, the piece uses text on screen and ambient sound to register the city as it was then: emptied of traffic, slowed, almost desert-like. The soundscape becomes a form of presence, carrying the weight of absence and transition. This work marks a shift in my practice towards minimal tools and heightened listening, where filming becomes a way of staying with uncertainty, displacement, and quiet forms of care.
